Commercial Manager

Working within a Global Telco/Technology company, this is a role where you will enjoy working at pace within a highly complex environment.  

  • Must be very commercially focused, with the ability to build business cases, managing conflicting priorities and multiple deadlines
  • Working closely with account management, engineering, services, and legal teams you will ensure the commercial and financial rigor is applied to all customer contracts, and that company business strategy and financial objectives are balanced in all contracts for new and existing clients.
  • Working with account managers to identify commercial incentives and discounts for existing clients, but always ensuring that there are strong business objectives for implementing.
  • Analysis of P&L/Profitability for each commercial opportunity.
  • You will work with teams who have different objectives, and you must be able to establish the overall commercial position. Must have the ability to analyse the opportunity and have the confidence to articulate your position.
  • This is a highly visible role within the organisation which works closely with the SMT across EMEA.
  • Very fast paced environment, which is highly deadline driven.
  • Highly complex environment and product set, this will be a role where it will take time to learn about the company, so you need to be highly.
  • You will have a high level of training and support in this role, from a local and close-knit team.
  • You need to be confident, with the ability to articulate your reasoning clearly, with belief in your own judgement.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with internal process and governance is applied to all bid responses and contract negotiations.
  • Resilience is important in this role, because you will be working across teams with conflicting aims, you will have to manage their expectations and be comfortable at times when you are not in alignment.
  • Facilitate the bid process, analysing trends within the bid activity, helping to drive improvements and efficiencies.
